Stop Arguing With Me!

Stop Arguing with Me!Hi All –

Teenagers love to argue don’t they? They like to say they are discussing, but we know what’s going on. Why? Because we were teenagers once. Oh but don’t tell them that because they think that this time and space is unique only to them and we are clueless of what they are going through. “Nothing new under the sun” rings through my noggin when they start this line of “logic”!

I have to tell you about how I almost always stop there arguing. See it was making me nuts, I was sure that my logical responses would of course squelch any further discussion – right? WRONG! After bandaging my bloodied head from banging it against the wall, I started on the quest to find the holy grail of parenting tools – stop teenager arguing. And guess what I did! Interested?

In  a sec I will show you how you too can reestablish bliss and harmony in your home. Ok maybe just eliminate the infuriating word “Why?”. Which is the first thing I learned. They don’t want to know why, this is their intro line to “put  up your dukes”. Check – don’t continue telling them why.

Next, walk away. You know you do not have attend every fight you are invited to. State what you had to say and turn and walk away. Don’t look back, don’t have the last work (DON’T!!), just put one foot in front of the other.

So where did I get all this amazing, insightful info? Well here is a quote that might give you an idea why I had to find out what these parenting techiques were all about.
